Put the recipe on your blog Sharon, from miss bossy boots. Thanks for sending it via your phone. I made it on Friday night but with my usual lack of following instructions. I used the tinned brown lentils, about half the tin and drained and rinsed. Instead of cooking my rice I used the sunrise pre cooked cups (pack of 2 I only used one) it had directions for microwave which I don't use so I covered with boiling water and cooked while I prepared the rest. I cooked the onions and garlic in the same pan I cooked the chorizo. I only like corn by itself so I didnt use corn. The recipe didn't tell you what to do with the capsicum and green onions. So i chopped them up as well as celery and added to rice etc. I didn't have the white wine vinegar, had about an inch of red wine vinegar (probably about 10 years old) so I used that. When I tasted it I thought the vinegar overpowered it so I squeezed lemon juice and runny honey, (sweet and sour thank you Jamie) and added more salt. I loved it and John ate the lot so he didn't dislike it. Give it another go Sharon. I didn't measure the chorizo just chopped the whole one in. Will put a photo on my blog of what mine turned out like.
Have put it on my blog plus a link to your blog. Hey Paddy, how about setting a blog up just for this type of thing, sharing ideas on saving money on meals and just general chats separate from our photography blog.
